I studied Drill Desiging with the legendary Dale F. Hopper. I also was able to study the drill designing of Alan "Rick" Temby, and Kal Korth. As a marching member of the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, I learned from Gary Czapinski and Ralph Pace. My expertise as a Drill Designer started in 1988, writing for the United High School Marching Band, in Laredo Texas. During the 1980s and 90s, I designed for United High School, John B. Alexander High School, and Tuloso Midway High School. In 1998, I took a long break from designing to focus on my compositions for band. I have recently returned to drill designing. I offer a package of either drill design only, music arranging/composing only, or both. With both, you actually save money. For more information, please contact me.
"Dennis Eveland is a superb arranger and composer for both marching and wind band. Dennis arranged an outstanding show for our 2015 season. Not only did his arrangements offer pin-point accurate representation of the original tunes, but also challenged my students both technically and musically. In addition, Dennis has also done an incredible job writing drill for my group. He is great to work with and offers flexibility in his writing to accommodate the ensemble. Not only does he include the drill charts with his package, but individual coordinates for each member and videos synced with the music for reference as well. I am glad to have been introduced to his music and his skills as a drill writer. I look forward to a great relationship working together for years to come. "- Doug Baker, Director Cleburne County "Marching Tiger" Band Heflin, Alabama
"I contracted Dennis to do my drill for my 2016 fall show. I have a small band, but the drill design that Dennis wrote accomodated the kids well. The visual transition from set to set was clear and creative. Dennis was always prompt in our correspondance when I needed a set change or other question answered. I would use his services again. Thanks Dennis."- Eliseo Morales, Director of Bands, La Pryor High School La Pryor, Texas.
